The Magirus/Ford/Iveco truck range was a joint venture by various manufacturers during the 1970’s and all shared a common cab, various armies bought the trucks which ranged from 4×4 to 6×6 versions.

The vehicle is used in various countries and not just by the military as it is essentially a civilian vehicle.
