The MT-12 was developed in the mid cold war period as an anti tank defence for the infantry and saw wide service with the Warsaw pact and in the Middle East.
It was a smooth bore weapon and could fire an ATGW as well as convetional ammunition.
It was oftenb towed in the Warsaw pact by the MTLB Blade but could also be towed by the Zil 131, Ural 375 or Kraz 255B
